Live Service Dashboard (PRO)

Overview: The Live Service Dashboard is the operational workspace for staff handling dining orders, waiter calls, bill requests, In-Room Dining, and Hotel Services. It gives restaurant and hospitality teams a single real-time view of incoming guest activity while preserving the exact location and channel context of every request.

One dashboard, multiple service channels: The Live Service Dashboard keeps Restaurant, In-Room Dining, and Hotel Service workflows visible in one operational workspace while preserving the table, room, location, and item-level context staff need to act quickly and accurately.

Three Operational Channels

Stolik Menu PRO organizes incoming activity into three distinct operational channels to keep restaurant operations separate from hospitality requests:

  • 1. Restaurant: Orders and assistance requests originating from dining tables (Universal Mode or Dedicated Tables). These cards link directly to a table number and guest name (e.g., Table 3 • Anna or Table 17 • Call Waiter).
  • 2. In-Room Dining: Food and beverage orders placed from hotel rooms and resort zones (e.g., breakfast, room-service entrées, wine, late-night snacks). Cards display a dedicated In-Room Dining indicator.
  • 3. Hotel Service: Non-food hospitality requests such as extra pillows, fresh towels, housekeeping, turndown service, airport transfers, luggage pickup, or wellness/SPA appointments.

Location and Context Badges

Every card rendered on the Live Service Dashboard provides instant context so staff immediately recognize the origin of the request:

  • Domain Indicator: HOTEL vs standard restaurant table.
  • Location Identifier: Room name (e.g., Room 102), Custom Location (e.g., Cabana 4, SPA Lounge), or Dining Table number.
  • Guest Name: The name supplied by the patron during order submission.
  • Action / Status: Live waiting timer and request classification.
💡
Operational Tip: Always check the location badge before accepting or closing a request. A hotel room with internal index 1 is not identical to Restaurant Table 1.

Hotel Custom Locations

When a guest scans a PRO Custom Location QR code (e.g., Room 102, Suite 305, Poolside, SPA Area), the dashboard captures the validated location token directly from the QR code. The guest does not need to manually enter a room number, eliminating delivery errors.

Mixed Orders & Cross-Team Coordination

In a hotel environment, a guest might order a late dinner alongside extra room amenities in a single submission (e.g., 1x Grilled Octopus, 1x King Prawns, 1x Evening Turndown Service, 2x Extra Pillows).

When this occurs, the Live Service Dashboard flags the order with a high-visibility banner:

⚠️
MIXED ORDER – Coordination required: Alerts staff that this order requires joint fulfillment between the culinary/room service staff and housekeeping/guest services.

Item-Level Channel Badges

To ensure seamless operational handoffs, every item in a mixed order maintains its own channel badge:

New vs Accepted Item Status

When guests append items to an already active tab or room order, the Live Dashboard clearly distinguishes what is new:

  • Already accepted: Items that staff previously acknowledged and sent for preparation.
  • NEW: Additional dishes or services appended by the guest during a subsequent round.

This prevents kitchen staff from accidentally preparing duplicate items while ensuring new requests receive immediate attention.

New additions remain clearly distinguishable from items already accepted by staff.

Active Orders & Appending Items

Orders do not immediately close after initial submission. An active order session remains open on the guest’s mobile device, allowing them to:

  • Review items currently being prepared.
  • Append more drinks, desserts, or service requests without restarting their session.
  • Request the bill or complete room settlement when finished.

Staff Actions & Lifecycle

Staff manage incoming cards through two primary workflow actions:

  • “I’m on it”: Moves a request from New Calls to the Acknowledged state. This informs other team members that the request is currently being handled, preventing double service.
  • “Close”: Archives the request once service is delivered and removes it from the active queue.

Waiter Calls & Bill Requests

Tableside assistance calls appear alongside orders in real time:

  • Call Waiter: Triggered when a patron requests verbal assistance, recommendations, or table service.
  • Ask for Bill: Triggered when a patron is ready to settle their tab via cash, physical terminal, or payment receipt.

Frontend Acknowledgement Loop

Stolik Menu maintains a synchronized feedback loop between staff actions and the guest’s smartphone:

3. Guest phone updates immediately to “Request accepted! We are on it.”

Charge to Room Status

When hotel settlement is enabled in settings and verified via a Custom Location QR, completed room postings display a distinct Charged to Room badge alongside the order:

Settlement status remains visible alongside Hotel operational context.

Waiting Time Indicators

Every incoming card features a dynamic, real-time timer (e.g., Wait: 0m 22s, Wait: 2m 29s). This enables shift managers and floor staff to triage urgent calls during peak operational rushes.
